A quick gut check first
Solar isn't right for every home. Before you run the numbers, see which list sounds more like you.
Worth a look if
- You own your home
- Your monthly bill regularly runs $150 or more
- Your roof gets decent sun most of the day
- You plan to stay in the home a few more years
- Storm-season power outages are a real concern
Probably not the right time if
- You're renting, or planning to move soon
- Your roof needs replacing first
- Your bill already runs low, under about $100 a month
- Your roof is heavily shaded most of the day
Not sure which side you land on? The estimate below settles it in about a minute.

The estimate uses your bill and your utility's rate. Treat it as a realistic starting point: an installer still needs to see the roof.

- Your yearly savings range
- A likely system size for your home

Solar math depends on where you live
Who your utility is matters as much as how sunny it is.
Plenty of sun to work with
Most of Florida gets strong, direct sun, and that's where any solar estimate starts.
Your utility matters
FPL, Duke Energy Florida, TECO and JEA all price and structure bills differently, so your number should use yours.
Every roof is different
Angle, shade and roof condition all change the real number, which is why the estimate is a starting point.
Quick to check
A few quick questions. No account and no home visit, just a number you can think over before deciding anything.
How to pay for it, and what help is left
Two short guides to read before you decide.
Before you check your number
Is the estimate a quote?
It's an estimate built from your bill, your utility's rates and Florida sun. For exact pricing, request a free quote call: a local installer looks at your actual roof, shading and panel layout.
Does this work anywhere in Florida?
Yes. Sunprint is built for homeowners statewide, from the Panhandle to the Keys. The estimate adjusts for the utility you select.
Will I get spam calls after I check my number?
No. Checking your estimate doesn't share your information with anyone. You only get contacted if you choose to request a quote.
What do you do with my information if I request a quote?
It's used to connect you with a solar installer once one is confirmed for your area. Sunprint doesn't sell your contact information to multiple companies at once.
How accurate is the savings estimate?
It's a planning-stage estimate, not an engineering calculation. It uses your bill and a general Florida production assumption. Roof angle, shading, and roof condition all change the real number.
Are there tax credits or incentives available?
Incentive programs change and eligibility depends on when you install, so we don't quote specific numbers here. See the Florida incentives guide above for the current federal, state, and utility picture, and ask during a quote call for anything specific to your home.
What financing options do I have?
Most homeowners pay cash, take out a solar loan, use a lease, or use Florida's PACE program. Each shifts who owns the system and how the cost is spread out. Florida does not allow power purchase agreements for rooftop solar. See the full financing guide above for a breakdown.
